Women, Work and Community Business Workshops

Do you have a business idea you want to put into action? Maine Centers for Women, Work, and Community will offer an introductory business planning workshop on Tuesday September 21 from 9:30 to Noon at University College in Bangor, Maine.

The Introduction to Self-Employment workshop will walk participants through the pros and cons of owning your own business show you how to get started step by step, point out the major elements of a business plan, introduce resources available in locally and statewide, and help you decide whether self-employment is the right choice for you. The training is open to women, men, couples, and all entrepreneurs who are considering starting a business.

Women, Work, and Community will also offer be a 3 session class Basics of Business September 28, October 5 and 12th from 9:30 to 12:30 at University College. The class covers the basics of business plan, marketing, cash planning and is suitable for those thinking about or in the early start-up phase of a new business. Pre-registration is required for all workshops and classes. There is no fee for the trainings.
